Change of the attribute mail in the Shibboleth Single Sign-On system as of July 3, 2020

On 3 July 2020, values passed in the federation attribute mail [only in Czech] will change in Shibboleth Single Sign-On system [only in Czech]. We have taken all steps to ensure a smooth transition. However, this change can still affect the login to some, in particular, federation services (e.g. ProQuest Ebook Central, Bookport, etc.). Therefore, if you encounter issues with the login or functioning of the services, please inform us at id@vse.cz  and helpdesk@vse.cz.

The aim of the change is to ensure consistent promotion of the user’s preferred university e-mail address to all federation services. Within the services, the user will always be identified using the selected e-mail address. Students should not be affected by this change in any way as multiple university e-mail addresses usually have only employees and external workers. You can set your preferred email address with the help of this manual.

The federation attribute mail (urn:oid:0.9.2342.19200300.100.1.3) will contain newly only the user’s preferred e-mail address (taken from the LDAP attribute mail;x-univmail), instead of all the university e-mail addresses of the user. If you are a service administrator and you need a complete list of the user’s e-mails in your application, in JAGGER apply for issuing a newly introduced internal attribute:
