Issuing an identification card for new students

At present, the possibility of obtaining an identification card for newly admitted students through the online process is being completed. Students will be allowed to insert their own photo into the system (according to defined requirements) and after its approval by the VŠE administrators, it will be possible to choose the type of identification card based on the type of study for which the student was admitted. It will be possible to pay  through the InSIS payment gateway. After completing the payment, the card will be issued and the student will be notified by email and will be asked to pick it up. When issuing the ID card, the student will be identified with the photo and data listed on the ID card. To collect it, the student will need an identity card (official state ID, driving licence or passport).

We anticipate the commissioning of the system of online ID card requirements by August 15, 2020. Students will be informed  by email and the information also will be published here on the website together with instructions on how to proceed.

 5. ID card Usage Options [menu]

The contactless card has two basic areas of applications:

1) visual – as proof of membership to VŠE (student, employee, external reader, external person, etc.)
2) smart – rights and services related to chip usage

Usage Options:

  • electronic wallet (payment for copying, printing, etc.)
  • ISIC/ITIC membership
  • purchasing food in the canteen
  • borrowings/renting from the VŠE Library
  • issuing initialization passwords to access the computer network
  • user authorization to access the computer network
  • entrance to restricted areas of the building (computer classrooms, library, etc.)
  • administrator rights for the operation of individual services (confirming borrowings in changing rooms, issuing cards, receiving payments, etc.)

Possibilities of further expansion are still open (entrances to parking lots, entrance to the VŠE dormitory, etc.)

This results in a relatively high potential for card misuse in case of embezzlement.

In case of loss or theft of your card, immediately inform the office of Administration of ID Cards, which will immediately block the card and other necessary measures against misuse of the card.

Please refer to other issues there, such as card damage, malfunction or issuing a duplicate. In the event of damage to the card, its life is rapidly decreasing, so do not forget to arrange for a new card in time.
The card may be inoperable even if it is not visibly damaged (e.g. after exposure to high pressure, bending, twisting, or excessive temperature).

We thank you for your cooperation and we hope that the card will serve you to your full satisfaction for a long time.
