Eduroam

Eduroam is a wireless network operated by research and education institutions that provide connectivity to users across Europe and some other continents. Users should be able to connect with their username and password wherever the wireless network eduroam is available.

To connect, you need:

  • A device equipped with WiFi wireless technology
  • To set a separate eduroam password – There is no initial password for eduroam/VPN; you must set a password yourself, otherwise you will not be able to use eduroam (or also school VPN as it uses the same login information). In order to set/change your password, you must know your school (InSIS) account password.
  • To configure the network connection correctly

Manual on how to configure the network can be found here: https://ci.vse.cz/english/network-access/eduroam/configuration-of-eduroam/

A separate eduroam password needs to be set as eduroam network is not directly connected to your InSIS account and other applications/platforms used at VŠE university (which are linked by one username and password).

You can change your eduroam password at any time; this will also resolve the forgotten password issue. This can be done via the following link: https://eduroam.vse.cz/heslo/?locale=en

Some services may require access via VPN. The login credentials are identical to those used for Eduroam. Further information regarding the VPN is available on the website: https://ci.vse.cz/english/network-access/vpn-virtual-private-network/vpn-information/
